Presenting our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Art Hister
Everyone of a certain age (over 15 and under 100) is searching for the fountain of youth, which they fervently hope will come in the form of a simple, small, white, easily-swallowed pill that one can take daily (or even better, weekly or monthly).
The reality, however, is that we already know how to slow down the aging process, but unfortunately, it is not a digestible formulation, and it takes a bit of work.
There are 5 (or more debatably, 6 or 7) keys to delaying and perhaps even reversing the aging process: doing regular (vigorous?) exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and minimizing stress.
In his presentation, Dr. Hister will discuss the evidence that these healthy lifestyle adjustments improve all measures of health including especially
- Lowering the risk of premature death
- Lowering the risk of developing life-limiting chronic illness, and
- Slowing - perhaps even reversing - our inevitable aging.
Dr. Hister will also give suggestions to help even the most reluctant person add some of these changes to his/her all-too-busy life.
